Our very first graduate and valedictorian. After graduation Enkhzaya taught German classes at Otgontenger University and enrolled at Humboldt University in Germany. She is currently the principal of Otgontenger University.

Professor and Law School alumni. One of the founders of the “Tulakh Tseg” (Point of support in English) debate club. Otgontenger University’s team participated in the 2016 World Universities Debating Championship in Greece, becoming the first ever team from Mongolia in the championship. He is reputably known as the National Debating Champion. Therefore, beating him with words is not easy.

Graduated in journalism in 2002. Now he is the senior editor at Eagle News TV channel. He talked about how students should prepare themselves for the world of modern media. 

One of Otgontenger’s first alumni, she not only taught at the university but worked as a department dean. Now she is a director at the Guide for Change Center, which is known in the industry for its organizational development trainings. She told us about the essay she used to have all her students write on the first lesson of every academic year.  

Head of the School of Law. Since graduating in Law from the National University of Mongolia,Altantsetseg has worked over 40 years in education. She started teaching at Otgontenger University in 1996. Here she shares from some of her most valuable experiences working as professor.

Academic, PhD of law, professor, State Honored Lawyer of Mongolia. He has been teaching at Otgontenger University since 1993. Now he is a member of the Academic Board of Otgontenger University, and a professor emeritus.

Head of the School of Humanities. Odgerel graduated National University of Mongolia majoring in Political Science and earned her doctoral degree in 2014, researching Women’s Participation in Politics. During her interview, Professor Odgerel emphasized participation of women is low in not only politics, but also at decision-making levels in virtually every sector. She also talked about the many opportunities one has as a student.

Dean of the Department of Journalism. Graduated in Journalism from Ural Federal University. Has pursued a career as a newspaper journalist since her university years, she started to teach at OTU in 1998, after working in journalism.

Professor Emeritus D.Naranchimeg worked as the Otgontenger University principal in 2000-2012. She is currently a Member of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia. She is one of the most prominent and skilled lawyers in Mongolia and had worked on numerous research and international projects and programs.

She became an Otgontenger University student at 14, started to teach at the university at 18, and got her doctoral degree from Beijing Language and Culture University at 27. Rightfully counted among the top teachers in Chinese language because of her teaching skills, she has been working as a Dean of the Department of Languages.

Ninjjamts L. deputy director of Mongolian National Public Radio and Television, is a prominent professional in her field. She is a leader for many, takes part in important processes of the industry, and has contributed her skills and knowledge in many major decisions during her 20 years of service in the Mongolian media sector. Credibility of a university depends on its alumni. She, who chose to study at Otgontenger University for that reason back in 2006, is now one of the alumni who brings pride to the university and inspires a ambitious students.

Majored in international management at the School of Economics and Business Studies. During the second semester of his sophomore year, he studied at Ming Chuan University in Taiwan with the exchange program. The main reason he was selected for the program was for his English proficiency. But he was not that good in English when he was a high school student

She majored in international trade management in 2015. Now she is studying at Lincoln University in the United States. She climbed up the ladder from student association member to president. She is well known for being the most reputable student association president and a role model. 

Chinese language student.  She started teaching Chinese  to elementary school children  at home since she was in high  school. She scored a 5 in the HSK  Chinese proficiency test even  though she has never been to  China. What’s more, she received  Chinese Ambassador Scholarship. 

He majored in Business Law from the Law School. He played the power forward position for the university basketball team. He was not into basketball before he was a student. Now he is a professional at the Ministry of Industry and Agriculture of Mongolia.

He majored in financial management at the School of Economics and Business studies of Otgontenger University. Grown up playing soccer in the streets, he dropped out of university because he couldn’t balance between soccer and the school. But he decided to give it a second try and chose Otgontenger University. While becoming a champion in the “Duulian” league of universities for the first time and being named as “Player of the Year”, he maintained his academic performance.

She majored in financial management  in 2011. Now she is not only working in  the management sector, she even started  her own company. All of this began back  in 2009, when Otgontenger University  students won the National Management  Olympiad for the first time. Unursaikhan  was on the team. 

Board Member and Advising Professor. Dorligsuren has over 40 years of experience in education. Previously, he had headed the Stock Exchange of Mongolia. Professor Dorligsuren recollects teaching foreign languages to many professors at Otgontenger.. Many of these professors fondly reminisce that before they realized it themselves, they had become his “students”.

General Manager and Basketball Team Manager. Since first joining Otgontenger University as a doorkeeper 24 years ago, he has made considerable contributions in helping the university basketball team achieve many accomplishments in addition to working as General Manager of the university. “Being persistent and finishing what I started is my main principle”, he remarks while smiling and sharing with us about his work.

Zolbayar participated in organizing the Asia Leadership Trek conference in Mongolia , an event attended by over 30 students from Harvard University. Asia Leadership Trek is a program where participants visit countries in Asia, engage in discussions in each country, and meet and share experiences with influential people in different sectors.

Student of the Law School, president of the student association. What’s unique about Otgontenger University’s student association election, which takes place in April, is that it takes place by the system of Athenian democracy. Every student has the right to vote, and the winner improves his or her plan until receiving the office in September. This time, he told us about the reason he chose Otgontenger University to study.
