Erasmus+ KA171 Student Mobility to the University of Málaga, Spain

Master’s and PhD Students | Academic Year 2026–2027

Otgontenger University (OTU) is pleased to announce an extraordinary call for applications for Erasmus+ KA171 student mobility at the University of Málaga (UMA), Spain, during the second semester of the 2026–2027 academic year.

Mobility Details

Study level: Master’s or PhD students
Number of candidates: 1
Mobility period: February–July 2027
Duration:

  • Master’s: up to 5 months
  • PhD: 3–5 months

Financial support:

  • €850/month individual support
  • €1,735 travel support based on the applicable distance band
  • Additional support may be available for eligible students with fewer opportunities.

Students should be prepared to initially cover travel, visa, insurance, and accommodation expenses.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled as a full-time Master’s or PhD student at OTU;
  • Have a strong academic record;
  • Have sufficient language proficiency for the proposed study/research activities (B2 English recommended);
  • Be able to undertake study or research activities relevant to their current degree programme.

Applicants should note that the availability of courses taught in English depends on the relevant academic programme at UMA.

The official UMA process requires supporting academic and enrollment documentation, and incomplete applications may be excluded.

Selection

OTU will select and rank candidates based on:

Academic performance (40%) • Study/research plan (20%) • Language competence (15%) • Motivation (10%) • Inclusion/equal opportunity (10%) • Previous Erasmus+ participation (5%)

These criteria reflect UMA's official 100-point evaluation framework.

The selected candidate will be nominated by OTU to UMA. Final academic acceptance and Erasmus+ grant allocation are determined by the University of Málaga; nomination does not guarantee final admission or funding.
